HTP Motorsport and WINWARD Racing speed up together in 2020

Both racing teams are expanding their cooperation for the 2020 season: Events with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and GT4 are planned in Europe and the USA.

Starting in 2020, the German racing powerhouse HTP Motorsport will be flying the new flag of HTP WINWARD Motorsport. This merger will bring about the world’s biggest Mercedes-AMG customer racing team. The cooperation between the team from Altendiez in Rheinland-Pfalz and Houston based Winward Racing started back in 2017 with multiple Mercedes-AMG GT4 entries in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

For the upcoming season both partners will expand their programs. Winward will run a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the USA, and HTP WINWARD Motorsport will compete in the ADAC GT4 German championship in addition to the ADAC GT Masters program. Participation in the VLN as well as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring will be continued. An additional program in the Blancpain GT Series is currently being examined.

Experienced racing driver Christian Hohenadel will join HTP WINWARD Motorsport in a management role. His racing knowledge will elevate HTP WINWARD Motorsport to new heights.

“I am delighted that the cooperation between HTP Motorsport and WINWARD Racing has risen to a new level setting a promising future for both partners”, says HTP team principal Norbert Brückner. “After a successful and pleasant two years of partnership we now pool our synergies to tackle the European racing scene as of next year. With his enormous experience Christian Hohenadel will be a valuable asset. Together we will make sure that HTP WINWARD Motorsport is a feared competitor wherever we are entering our Mercedes-AMG GT3 and GT4 vehicles.”
